I grew up in a nearby suburb (Buffalo Grove), and during high school I was involved in dance, cheerleading, and student council. During my summers as a kid, I went to an overnight camp in Wisconsin, where I became a camp counselor for many years before starting my career in education. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Secondary Health Education because I love working with kids, and I have a passion for helping others stay healthy and happy :) This is my seventh year at Highland Middle School, and I am really excited to get to know all of the 6th graders!
Outside of school, I spend most of my time with my family. I have a two sons Mason (4.5 years old) and Oliver (1.5 years old). I also have 3 nephews, a niece, and two older sisters, who I am very close with. I enjoy cooking, shopping, traveling, camping, hiking, dancing, taking pictures, being around animals, and meeting new people.
